Eleanor studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. She earned her degree in graphic design in the nineties and began her career as a web designer at the epicenter of the web 1.0 wave. She has 20 years of experience working at global digital agencies as a designer, UX practitioner, project manager, and creative director. She’s worked on projects for major companies, including Siemens, BMW, Vodafone, and General Motors. At heart, she’s happiest as a creative solopreneur.
Ten years ago, she gave up her corporate career to turn her side hustle into her full-time gig. Her design landed in some major media publications like Goop, Martha Stewart Weddings, Glamor, and even the New York Times. She is dedicated to helping small business owners and solopreneurs get online. And with this in mind,

[05:14] In 2016, Eleanor started her own business after feeling burned out in her job at a big digital agency in Germany.
[06:42] I had always had the idea of starting a little web design shop, but I was very hesitant about having a client-based business.
[07:12] When Eleanor got a surprise tax bill, she then realized that she couldn’t do contracting anymore and started her web design business.
[07:37] Eleanor created a website and she got a client right away.
[08:09] She learned a lot of lessons from her past business that didn’t work that she’s applying to her new business.
