About Melanie Walter
Melanie Walter is enthusiastic and passionate about chatbots and conversational design. Co-founder of iBindo, she is responsible for the development of a SaaS chatbot solution for mental health in the workplace, developer of the first German-language love sickness chatbot with over 20,000 users on Facebook, and trained systemic coach.
In the face of challenges that touch us all, Melanie’s mission is clear, to empower individuals, making them more robust and resilient in confronting life’s hurdles.
Melanie’s foray into this unique intersection of technology and well-being began as a life coach in Munich. Dealing with clients grappling with lovesickness, she recognized the need for an accessible service that could offer solace during the wee hours of the night. Thus, her initial creation, a lovesickness bot, emerged, built on the simplicity of freeware, Chatfuel. This bot became a digital confidant, helping individuals overcome the anguish of breakups, a universal experience we’ve all weathered at some point.
Since those early days, Melanie has delved deep into chatbots and conversational design. In 2018, she took her passion to the next level by founding iBindo. This endeavour earned her a coveted spot in the Austrian chatbot accelerator, Elevate, a highly competitive program dedicated to nurturing innovative chatbot solutions worldwide. Securing an impressive quarter of a million euros in funding, Melanie built a team dedicated to transforming iBindo from a concept into a reality.
