We are certain that your podcast feed has been flooded with experts predicting what the biggest trends in business will look like in 2023. One thing that we know for sure is that the power of AI is growing at an incredibly crazy rate and businesses, institutions, and policymakers are merely scrambling to keep up.
AI is already all around us – from Alexa to Siri, to autocorrect, and chatbots. But in 2023, it’s going to get to the next level!
That’s why we decided to conduct a little experiment and find out how deep the impact of OpenAI’s tool ChatGPT will have on content creators, businesses, and marketers. We asked ChatGPT to write us our very own podcast episode about the biggest trends in digital business and marketing for 2023.
Without further delay, word for word, here is our latest episode directly from the brain of ChatGPT.
First up, we have Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. These technologies have been on the rise for a few years now, but in 2023, we’re going to see even more businesses using them to improve customer service, personalize content and product recommendations, and automate repetitive tasks. The possibilities with AI and ML are endless, and we’re just scratching the surface of what they can do.
Next, we’re going to talk about 5G and IoT. With 5G networks rolling out, we’re going to see a huge increase in the number of connected devices in the world. This is going to open up a lot of new possibilities for digital businesses. For example, they’ll be able to create new, connected experiences for customers, and they’ll have a lot more data to work with.
Another trend we’re going to see in 2023 is the use of Virtual and Augmented Reality. These technologies have been around for a while, but they haven’t really taken off yet. Podcasts and Audio Content are going to become increasingly popular in digital business and marketing. As more consumers are consuming content in this format, businesses will be looking to take advantage of this by creating their own audio content and sponsoring existing podcasts.
Social Media will continue to be a powerful marketing channel in 2023. But businesses will need to adapt to the evolving social media landscape. Social media platforms are constantly changing, and businesses will need to keep up to be successful.
Customer Service Automation is going to be big in 2023. Chatbots, AI, and other technologies are going to be used to handle customer inquiries and support requests. This will save businesses a lot of time and money, and it will make it easier for customers to get the help they need.
And lastly, Analytics and Data will be increasingly important in digital business and marketing in 2023. Businesses will need to become more data-driven, using analytics and data to measure their performance and make decisions. This will help them make better decisions and stay ahead of the competition.

This is not bad for the digital business and marketing predictions from ChatGPT for 2023. Crazy how quickly it took for ChatGPT to generate that information. Literally seconds!
Of course, the system has its flaws and it states that the information isn’t always accurate – but as a foundational research tool, it does have the potential for creators to save tons of time and money.
The interesting thing about this tool is that you can refresh the answer using the same question you inputted. It’s super interesting to compare the responses, and the slight differences and changes that the tool generates are fascinating.
We refreshed this response 3 times and I ended up using the first response the tool gave for writing this episode. The reason: the tone of voice seemed a little more human than the latter 2 responses.
At GrowGetters we wouldn’t disagree with what has been put forward, but we would definitely bring in a bit more context, a bit more nuance, to the trends we see coming up.
For example, we would actually disagree with Influencer Marketing per se, and see more of a trend towards Thought Leadership and monetizing skills – so becoming an influencer of substance and value.
We believe people are becoming more aware and accustomed to influencers as an advertising channel, and promoting products not being as authentic as they once were a few years ago.
And when it comes to social media, ChatGPT did not really give much away here.
We think that social media is becoming used more and more selectively and that for businesses it is getting harder than ever to gain growth on these channels (not to mention conversion).
We think that decentralised social media will start to gain momentum this year, as people congregate in niche communities on platforms like Discord (where our community and GrowGetters Club lives) or Telegram.
People and businesses are starting to get a little fed up with traditional social media, and will also aim to build up their email lists where they have a direct connection with each other.
We totally agree with audio content (just like this podcast!) continuing to rise, as people enjoy learning while multitasking, and the flexibility that audio provides.
And 100% as it has been the last decade – data-driven decision-making is the smartest way to go for any business. It’s exactly why here at GrowGetters, we are personally going to be focusing heavily on experimentation and play in 2023 to learn, grow, and make moves from data, not just gut instinct.
